• Monitor refresh rate: At 60 Hz, visual stimuli can only update every ~16.7 ms, introducing inherent timing variance of up to ±16 ms.
• Input device latency: Wired and wireless mice, trackpads, and touchscreens all introduce varying amounts of input latency (typically 5–30 ms).
• Browser and operating system scheduling: Background tasks, CPU load, and browser rendering pipelines can affect timestamp precision.
• Network conditions: If the page is served from a remote server, initial load time does not affect test timing, but slow page loads may affect user readiness.

For these reasons, VoltReflex results should be used for relative personal benchmarking — tracking your own improvement over time — rather than as absolute scientific measurements.
